Ginnie O. contacted Kelly Roofing about the metal roof of her company’s commercial building. The metal panels needed to be cleaned with a high pressure washing. After which Kelly Roofing cut and patched all blisters with polyester membrane materials. A metal primer was applied to prohibit rust and to prime the metal for the elastomeric roof coating. All coping cap seams were cleaned with acetone and their attachment we checked and refastened as needed. All the seams were then resealed with polyurethane sealant and painted to match, which also act to protect the seams from UV rays.
The Kelly Roofing crew also repaired 14 gutter drops. The roof repairs carry a 3 year workmanship warranty from Kelly Roofing, while the repair to the gutter system has a 1 year warranty.
Ginnie said, “I am glad you were able to get us done before your rainy weather season starts. It looks nice. Having pictures is a great new feature for us, being so far away from the properties.
Thanks for everything and be sure that we will call if we have any other work for you! If things stay in good shape we will be in touch when it is time for the next inspection to keep us on the right track.”
Robert H. heard about Kelly Roofing from a neighbor and they were the only one Robert called. He picked Kelly Roofing because of their years in business, the fact that it is a family business, their competitive pricing, and their neighbor’s reference.
His wife Debra shared, “I am president of the home owners’ association (HOA) for our neighborhood. You have a good reputation here.”
Our questions were answered and the job started when it was promised. The work was done by knowledgeable professionals who left the jobsite very clean. Based on Kelly Roofing’s reputation I am confident that the roofing work will last.
Carol McC. heard about Kelly Roofing from a friend. She contacted 5 roofing contractors, 4 of whom submitted estimates. She chose Kelly Roofing because of the quality of the roofing system, competitive prices, and she saw other projects completed by Kelly Roofing.
The estimator answered my questions as if I had a brain. He did not answer my questions by speaking to my husband. He spoke to me. Many other roof companies did not answer my questions. They spoke to Don, like I could not possibly understand.
The roofing work was performed by courteous, knowledgeable professionals. A supervisor stopped by frequently to oversee the work. The job started when they promised and they did a great looking job. The roof looks great and I am confident that this roof will last. I am already recommending Kelly Roofing to my friends and neighbors.
To everyone at Kelly Roofing that was involved in replacing our roof. There are no words to express our gratitude! YOU SAVED US !!! Now I know how people felt when they would thank me after I helped save their home from Fire Damage. Although it wasn’t a fire, our home was being attacked by water, and you wonderful people came to our rescue! We will forever be telling the story of your amazing generosity!
May God Bless you and your families!

Flat Roof Before Repair
Flat Roof After Repair

Increasing costs is an unpopular topic, but because we like to be an open book with our customers, we thought it best to be upfront about pricing changes and stress that it shouldn’t be the only determining factor when buying a roof.
Material costs, asphalt in particular, have spiked recently with multiple price increases this year alone on roofing-related products. Asphalt shingles prices have been bumped as much as 14%.
So Many Things to Consider
Cost is important, but it’s only one part of the equation when buying a new roof. Its importance will depend on your needs and how much you are willing to spend, but it should never be the only factor. Reputable roofing contractors can often find a solution that fits your needs and budget. With increased cost, the temptation can be great to improvise by either finding a contractor offering a “deal” or delaying repairs or replacement.
The Deal Too Good to Be True
Never was the adage “you get what you paid for” truer than in the roofing industry. Our friends at Kelly Roofing note that “fly-by-nighters” employ many underhanded tactics to swindle homeowners. The problem is reviews might not be accurate because these companies can go out of business every few years and begin again under a new name to void warranties and can change their license qualifiers to maintain a clean complaint history with the BBB.
But the quote won’t lie. If a roofing contractor is undercutting your other estimates by a large chunk of change, you should wonder how they can afford to offer such a price. Perhaps they don’t hold certifications or insurance. Or they can under-report earnings and employee wages to save on insurance premiums and avoid paying workman’s compensation. They might leave things off the initial estimate to win the job and then add costs after the fact.
Nearly 40% of roof repairs are the result of improperly installed roofs, a big reason why choosing a cheap roofing option is not the same as purchasing a knock-off brand of tissues. This decision is an investment that you’ll live with for decades. If properly installed, it will increase your home’s value and curb appeal on top of protecting it from the elements.

I’ll Get to It…Some Day
There’s nothing wrong with taking your time to reach a decision about a new roof. It’s a huge matter that–because of the very companies mentioned above–should not be taken lightly. However, make sure you have your roof inspected on a regular basis to avoid any surprises. Staying proactive will mean paying less in the long run because roofs in need of repair or replacement can cause costly damages to the interior of your home.
There Is No Price on Peace of Mind
While these costs are out of our control, our mission is to provide the best service–paying close attention to the needs of your home–and use the highest-quality products. Cutting corners isn’t a reputable practice. Your home deserves better than that, and so do you.
